At Norwescap, we believe that everyone in our community should have the ability to find a rewarding, high-quality job that provides a living wage and benefits. However, building a long-lasting career that you love involves much more than sending out resumes and hoping for the best.

Our Employment & Career Assistance programs help adults build marketable skills through job training; find employment opportunities that match their passions, experience, and needs; prepare to enter or re-enter the workforce; maintain employment over time; and advocate for fair pay, benefits, and treatment in the workplace.

We’re proud to help many individuals find footing in a career they love. Kathy Miller’s journey with Norwescap Career & Life Transitions Center (CLTC) transformed her life, helping her gain confidence, improve her skills, and secure a fulfilling career. With the support of CLTC, she regained financial stability, completed her Home Health Aide certification, and found a new path in healthcare.

No matter where you’re at in your job search or career journey, we offer assistance tailored to you and your goals. These include: 

• Skills development and job training: Access workshops and programs to gain in-demand skills and certifications to meet current job requirements.
• Career counseling: Get personalized career advice that aligns with your passions, strength, and long-term goals.
• Job search tools: We can help develop your cover letter and resume; conduct mock interviews; and design job search strategies.
• Workforce re-entry support: If you’re returning to work after unemployment or other life transitions, we can assist with skills development and confidence building.
• Career assistance: Find resources for navigating the workplace, including time management, conflict resolution, and understanding employee rights.
• Networking: We’ll facilitate access to job fairs and introductions to local employers who are hiring.
• Workplace equity advocacy: Gain knowledge of fair wages, benefits, and workers’ rights, while receiving support to advocate for equitable treatment in the workplace.
