Championing Community Development For A Better Future

Much of Norwescap’s work is focused on serving individuals and families. However, to truly accomplish our vision, we also work at the community level to ensure that people have the opportunity to succeed in their hometowns.

Through our Community Development programs, we spearhead significant neighborhood investments, support local businesses, and organize community events and initiatives that foster safe, healthy, vibrant neighborhoods where every resident and community member has a chance to participate and thrive.

Here are some ways we work with local residents to spark exciting community development projects:

Small business support: We facilitate resources and programs to help local business owners grow with financial resources, including small business loans, grants, and subsidies.
Business incubators: We work to help communities create business development programs, mentorships, and initiatives that benefit local companies and the economy..
Neighborhood revitalization: Our team encourages investing in infrastructure projects, public spaces, and affordable housing to build thriving communities.
Community-led events: We help organize fairs, events, and neighborhood cleanups to strengthen ties between residents.
Job training: Norwescap provides job readiness, skill development, career placement services, and financial literacy workshops to empower community members.
Youth development: We support afterschool programs and other initiatives to give young people resources to succeed personally and academically.
Civic engagement: Norwescap encourages community members to participate in town halls and decision-making processes that affect where they live.
Health and wellness initiatives: We promote access to healthcare, wellness programs, and fitness centers to focus on the community’s well-being.
Public safety: We encourage local law enforcement to collaborate with community groups and schools to implement safety programs that improve quality of life.
Environmental efforts: Norwescap encourages creating green spaces and energy-efficient community spaces, among other efforts.
