Celebrating International Women’s Day with Norwescap: Empowering Women, Empowering Communities
As part of our commitment to celebrating International Women’s Day, Norwescap is pleased to announce an exclusive partnership with Albea Group. On March 8, 2024, join us for a special tour of Albea’s manufacturing facility in Washington, NJ. This unique opportunity will offer participants an insider’s look into one of the world’s leading manufacturers of beauty and personal care packaging.
International Women’s Day (IWD), celebrated on March 8th each year, is a global day honoring the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It is a time to reflect on progress made, to call for change, and to celebrate the courage and determination of women worldwide.
Since the early 1900s, IWD has been a focal point in the women’s rights movement, highlighting the need for gender equality and women’s empowerment. This day is celebrated through various events, including marches, conferences, and art performances, to raise awareness about the challenges women face and celebrate their achievements.
At Norwescap, we are committed to supporting women in our community through a range of programs designed to empower them in all aspects of their lives. Our Career & Life Transitions Center and Pathways 2 Prosperity program provide direct support for career development and life skills, helping women achieve their full potential in the workforce and beyond.
In addition to these programs, Norwescap offers a variety of other services that support women’s issues, such as WIC, Health Connections, and Head Start / Early Head Start and Child and Family Resource Services. These programs provide essential resources and support for women and their families, addressing key issues related to health, education, and well-being.
