The Mental Health Workshop Series
We are excited to continue our Mental Health Workshop Series! Norwescap has been providing free monthly informational and interactive workshops to help identify signs of mental health issues and teach mental well-being practices. Join us as we carry on this important initiative for the rest of the year, with the options to join virtually or in person for free! To provide these services, Norwescap is collaborating with NJ4S, the Morris County Mental Health Association, the Center for Family Services, and St. Clare’s Health.
These workshops aim to provide valuable insights, support, and resources to individuals seeking to improve their mental well-being and enhance their understanding of mental health issues. We believe that by coming together as a community, we can create a supportive environment where everyone feels heard, understood, and empowered.
Why is Mental Health Important?
Mental Health presents one of the biggest obstacles to achieving aspirations, as identified in Norwescap’s most recent Community Needs Assessment which fueled its Strategic Plan. Loneliness and social isolation are on the rise from the effects of COVID-19. According to the Mental Health Association, New Jersey ranks #1 in prevalence of mental illness but 31st in access to care, 57% of adults with any mental illness do not receive any treatment. This free workshop series aims to help reduce this lack of access.
