Mark Valli
Mark Valli is the CEO of Norwescap, bringing decades of experience in the nonprofit sector to his leadership of the agency. Prior to joining Norwescap in 2018, Mark served as CEO for the Community Charter School of Paterson (CCSP), a community school serving over 900 students K-8 in Paterson, New Jersey, where he helped transform the struggling school into an institution demonstrating steady academic progress for its students.
Prior to his service with CCSP, Mark was the founding President & CEO of New Jersey After 3 (NJA3), the nation’s first statewide public/private partnership created to expand evidence-based afterschool opportunities. NJA3 served over 75,000 students in over 120 schools across the State. Throughout his career, Mark has served in a variety of roles in the nonprofit, corporate and government sectors focused on youth development, employment and education, including helping to create the State’s AmeriCorps program and working in the office of Governor Jim Florio.
Mark serves on a number of Boards, Committees and Chambers of Commerce throughout New Jersey, including past service as Board Chair of the New Jersey Center for Nonprofit Corporations and Vice-Chair of Leadership New Jersey Graduate Organization. He was recognized in 2007 by NJ Biz Magazine as one of New Jersey’s ‘Top Forty Under Forty’. Mark holds an MPA at Rutgers University and earned his BA from Swarthmore College.
