Norwescap is a private, nonprofit corporation, established in 1965, serving the low to moderate income population in Northwest NJ. We offer a comprehensive array of strategies, programs, and services to create opportunities and change lives. Over the years Norwescap has evolved into a comprehensive multi-million-dollar nonprofit organization providing services to over 30,000 individuals annually in Hunterdon, Warren, Morris, Somerset, and Sussex Counties.

We are seeking applications/resumes for the following position:

Financial Program Coach – Financial Empowerment Center

Core Job Functions:

Meet regularly with clients concerning budgeting, credit, and financial skills; developing skills on a one to one appointment basis and group settings

Program Reporting Oversight:

To assist with grant program reporting to director and to ensure the goals of the grants are being met.

To meet and enroll clients into the IDA Savings Program

Set appointments up with financial institutions to enroll in the IDA program or process Family Loan paperwork

To accept and process Family Loan Program Applications

Run credit reports

Promote Norwescap’s programs at public events and via social media and in person

Deliver consistent and impactful customer services in our Financial Opportunity Center

Ensure all program data is entered into appropriate database for grant reporting and care coordination, using our Dynamics Database

Participate in program marketing

Participate in Financial Literacy workshop development, set-up and marketing pieces

Attend program and county meetings as needed

Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s Degree preferred

Microsoft Office proficiency a MUST

Microsoft Teams is desired

Canva is desired

Social media is desired

Understand and read credit reports.

Solid writing skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Passion for creating well-being in communities.

Expected Hiring Date; 1 to 2 weeks

Schedule: Monday to Friday. Saturdays and nights as needed for events and workshops.

Job location; Multiple locations throughout Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Sussex & Warren Counties. Home office is 88-90 South Main Street Phillipsburg, NJ . Reliable, insured and accessible transportation; MUST be able to cover our full five county service area. In office position, but will need to attend meetings at banks, credit unions, in-person workshops and other locations throughout our service area outside the office.

$24.00 – $25.00 per hour / 40 hours a week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
