Job Overview

We are fast-paced and high-demand, non-profit program that depends on everybody in every position to help our centers function with ease. You will gain diverse experience working with an at-risk population. Cross-training is available and expected for all positions.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Ensure the safety and maintenance of assigned vehicle
• Create and maintain bus routes
• Prepare periodic reports according to Head Start policies and procedures
• Ensure that no child is left unattended on bus
• Follow safe evacuation procedures and notify appropriate emergency responders

Minimum Education Level
High School Diploma/GED
Current NJ Class CDL “C” bus driver license with “P” and “S” endorsements

Preferred Education Level
Associates, or higher, in early childhood education, social work, or related field

Bus driving experience preferred

Preferred Experience
2+ years of direct bus driving experience

Personal characteristics: Safety mindset, warm and friendly

Certifications: NJ Class “C” CDL License

Physical abilities: Lift 30 pounds
