Please join us for opening night of the EPIC (Building an Antiracist World through Education, Participation, Intention & Courage) Art Gallery on November 17th from 6:30pm -8:30 pm at the Sussex Borough Community & Cultural Center, 37 Main Street, Sussex, NJ 07461. The core aim of this groundbreaking program is to empower BIPOC youth and Allys from our local community to confront racism head-on through education, dialogue, and artistic expression. These efforts are culminating in a thought-provoking gallery showcasing the youths’ creative works. The “EPIC Art Exhibition” will travel to schools, organizations and faith based congregations throughout Sussex County, engaging students, teachers, staff, and community members in the antiracist movement and highlighting the enduring relevance of Dr. King’s message. EPIC was made possible by a recent grant from the MLK Foundation via the New Jersey Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission.
