AmeriCorps Seniors
Norwescap’s AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program matches individuals age 55 and older with meaningful volunteer opportunities. There are many ways older adults can support our work – volunteer roles might include mentoring children, supporting isolated adults, helping individuals prepare their taxes, assisting new Medicare enrollees with their benefits, facilitating an exercise course, and much more (see a full list of our opportunities here). Each volunteer is interviewed by a member of our team to understand your skills, experiences, and interests to match you to the best possible opportunities.

RSVP is part of Senior Corps, a federally funded program of the Corporation for National & Community Service whose mission is to provide the opportunity for individuals 55 years of age and older to provide volunteer service in their community. It has over 300,000 members nationwide.
The Volunteer Resource Center portion of our name refers to our affiliation with the HandsOn Network. The HandsOn Network is a national framework of over 250 action centers that work to mobilize volunteers all across America.

Information for Community Partners
For our Partner Agencies, Norwescap AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP helps you do active volunteer recruitment in the community while also providing the initial screening and matching of potential volunteers. Trained staff members also offer training and seminars in all areas of volunteer management and volunteer program development.
