Summary:
Norwescap Child and Family Resources (CFRS) is seeking a Child Care Specialist/Subsidy in its Sussex County (Newton) Warren County (Phillipsburg) offices. CFRS is the designated Child Care Resource and Referral Agency for Hunterdon, Sussex and Warren Counties, by the NJ Department of Human Services, Division of Family Development. As such, and in addition to other missions, CFRS administers the child care subsidy program for: low- to moderate-income working families, families seeking self-sufficiency and participating in Work First New Jersey (WFNJ), children under the supervision of the Department of Children and Families (DCF), children being cared for by relatives (Kinship Care) and children needing before/after preschool services.

Job Description:
The Child Care Specialist/Subsidy position is an entry level position and works with families as an ambassador to the subsidy program, and/or case manager in administering the voucher program. The position includes providing information and ensuring adhering to the subsidy requirements. In addition to sensitive, accurate and effective communication skills, this position requires superb organizational skills, attention to detail and effective basic math skills. This multifaceted position requires someone who can communicate well with families providing excellent customer service, enjoys working with numbers, is organized, and can work well in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a basic understanding of excel. An affinity for numbers and organization is crucial to this position.
Responsible for the support and administration of New Jersey Cares for Kids Voucher program:
Provide technical assistance to families in accessing subsidy and community resources.

Rate of Pay: $17.00 – $19.00
Required Level of Education: Required Level of Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or related field, or an Associate’s Degree in human services, or a High School Diploma or GED and experience in the field of human services, child care services, child development, education, nursing, or social work. Bilingual candidates strongly recommended to apply.Bi-lingual strongly preferred but not required.
