Full job description

Job Responsibilities:

· Provide end-to-end application assistance to older adults and individuals receiving SSDI, with a focus on underserved and hard-to-reach populations and resolving any application issues.

· Use state and/or Norwescap reporting system to input required grant information

· Give NJ SAVE presentations throughout the designated county

· Update outreach contact list and share with Program Manager

· Attend update meetings as required with Program Manager

· Attend all meetings, trainings and workgroups required by Norwescap and the State of NJ

· Contact with the State of NJ as needed

· Prepare monthly work plans and to be shared with Program Manager and the State of NJ

· Prepare monthly coordinator report to be shared with Program Manager

· Travel throughout designated county

· Replenish materials/resources as needed (Medicare resources, outreach resources, NJ SAVE applications etc.)

· Develop and distribute outreach materials including but not limited to flyers, brochures, press releases, media advertising, and social media posts, YouTube videos

· Manage Senior Save Navigator Budget, keep track of expenditures, include budget in report to Program Manager and consult with Program Manager as necessary regarding budget.

· Seek out new and cultivate existing relationships with organizations/agencies/businesses for outreach and application assistance in the community

· Train volunteers to assist with the Sr. Save Navigator Program including, but not limited to, organizing and presenting NJ SAVE Workshops

· Assist with grant applications

· Partner with other Norwescap programs for Senior Save Navigator Outreach

· Must commit attendance to Medicare Open Enrollment each year -October 15th – December 7th

· All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· At least 2 years of experience in community outreach

· At least 2 years of experience in Program Coordination

· Ability to work with minimal supervision

· Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool, as well as proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, fax, and scan

· Strong project management skills resulting in measurable success and program growth

· Experience having worked with a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group

· Comfortable giving presentations to groups in both formal and informal settings

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and a passion for RSVP

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
