Job Overview

We are fast-paced and high-demand, non-profit program that depends on everybody in every position to help our centers function with ease. You will gain diverse experience working with an at-risk population. Cross-training is available and expected for all positions.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Create high quality lesson plans that are inclusive and individualized
  • Oversee supervision and management of children in the classroom to ensure a safe, clean, and healthy learning environment
  • Serve as mentor to classroom support staff
  • Promote social and emotional development serving at-risk children
  • Assess child development three times a year
  • Follow all curriculum, assessment, and education procedures as directed

Qualifications

Minimum Education Level

Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education

Preferred Education Level

Bachelor’s or higher in Early Childhood Education or another field with coursework equivalent

Experience

Some experience preferred, Head Start experience preferred

Preferred Experience

2+ years of direct experience with at-risk population, 2+ years of Head Start experience

Personal characteristics: Self-motivated, compassionate, flexible, dependable, friendly

Certifications: P3 mandatory

Physical abilities: Lift 30 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.38 – $38.42 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
