About our Board of Directors

Norwescap’s Board consists of 15 members representing the five counties of New Jersey where the majority of our services are located. We have a tripartite Board structure, which includes equal representation of members from the communities we serve (current or former program participants); at-large members; and members who are nominated by local officials.

If you’re interested in getting involved with Norwescap’s Board in the future, we’d love to hear from you! Download the Norwescap Board Member Job Description, and reach out to our CEO Mark Valli or our Chief Development Officer Heather Thompson to explore how you can get more involved.

Board Diversity Statement

The Board of Norwescap is committed to strengthening the diversity of our Board members. Norwescap serves over 30,000 clients annually throughout northwest New Jersey, and the more diverse our Board, the better we can represent and understand our participants’ needs. Greater Board diversity can help us inform each other, work together to make better decisions, and advocate more effectively for our participants. Our Board is inclusive to everyone. We especially encourage applications for Board membership from people of color, LGBTQ people, Latinx people, veterans, people ages 20-40, people of diverse faith-based backgrounds, single parents, low-income people, immigrants, people in recovery, people who have experienced receiving Norwescap services or other similar services, and people with disabilities.
