Cancer Education and Early Detection Program
The Cancer Education and Early Detection Program provide cancer education, outreach and screening services to Warren County residents. The program focuses on providing community wide involvement in the planning, coordination and implementation of cancer focused initiatives.
Outreach Efforts
Outreach efforts will include participation from local churches, schools, and worksites. County residents will also be informed of cancer screening opportunities throughout their local communities. Through the NJ-CEED Program, free cancer screenings will be provided to county residents who qualify. Additional goals of expansion of membership to local stakeholders as we implement cancer prevention initiatives throughout Warren County are also important.
Services
Education Programs-Programs on cancer education are available and free for any venue including faith based, schools, employers, non-profit and community based organizations, camps, social clubs, and nutrition sites. All education programs can be provided at any location with very flexible program hours.
Screenings
The program can provide free health screenings to men and women ages 18-64 who qualify. The free screening can include: breast and pelvic exam, Pap test, mammogram, prostate screenings, colorectal screenings and colonoscopy. It is proven that early detection is best.
