Exciting news for WIC participants. A new website that can be accessed at: njwiconline.org provides the ability for WIC participants to complete the nutrition education requirement. Copy and past njwiconline.org into your Internet Browser. Visiting this website will also provide an opportunity to learn about nutrition and health. The website also features games and activities and allows participants to review account information. Please call your local WIC office for more information. NORWESCAP Summer Feeding Program
Date of Event:  July 06 2010

NORWESCAP Summer Food Service Program. July 6 – August 27. FREE LUNCH for children in Phillipsburg up to age 18. No documentation required! Monday through Friday, 11 am to 1 pm. Lunch is available at the following walk-in sites in Phillipsburg: Heckman Annex, Walnut & Elm Sts., Rocco’s Pizzeria, 360 So. Main Street (room in rear); and the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 137 Chambers Street. Pizza every Tuesday! Children’s activities available at most sites.


4th Annual Empty Bowls Luncheon
Date of Event:  09 01 2010

September 1, 2010 NORWESCAP is pleased to announce that the 4th Annual Empty Bowls Luncheon has been scheduled for September 1, 2010 at the Almond Tree Manor, 319 East Central Avenue in Alpha. The Empty Bowls event is a fundraiser which was started to provide support for food banks, soup kitchens and other organizations that fight hunger. Guests are served a simple meal of soup and bread and keep the bowl as a reminder of hunger in the world. Individuals can participate and support the Food Bank, a program that distributes over 2,000,000 pounds of food annually to 120 food pantries and other feeding programs, by purchasing tickets to the Empty Bowls Luncheon, or by donating a hand crafted bowl to this event. Colalillo ShopRite 15th Annual 5K Walk & Run
Date of Event:  September 19, 2010

Colalillo ShopRite 15th Annual 5K Walk & Run to benefit the NORWESCAP Food Bank. This Walk/Run will begin 9:30 am at Deer Path Park, Flemington, NJ. Pre- Registration: $20.00 which includes commemorative shirt, must be received by August 31, 2010. Race day $25 registration fee starts at 8:00 am. you can also register over the phone by calling Alison Kelly or Shannon Williams at (908) 454-4322. Directions: From the South: Take Route 202 to the Flemington Circle, go north on 31 to West Woodschurch Road, make a right turn. From the North: Take Route 78 West to Route 31 South to jughandle for West Woodschurch Road.


3rd Annual Harvest Weekend Wine & Music Festival at Alba Vineyards
Date of Event:  September 25, 2010

NORWESCAP 3rd Annual Harvest Weekend Wine & Music Festival “Wines of the World” at Alba Vineyard, This 2 Day event has been scheduled for September 25th & 26th, and will benefit NORWESCAP & the ARC of Warren County. Wines of the World will consist of Wholesalers offering wines for taste testing & Alba Vineyard wines will be available for purchase and tasting. Activities will consist of Carriage Rides, Hot air Balloon and Children crafts. CAIRO will be among one of the bands who will be performing at the festival. 8th Annual Culinary Celebration
Date of Event:  October 4 2010

8th Annual Culinary Celebration at Beaver Brook Country Club, Annandale , NJ. 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Enjoy an evening of superb food and music. Taste signature dishes from area's finest chefs and bakers. Macy's Shop for a Cause Event
Date of Event:  October 16th 2010

The Staff at the Family Success Center & Healthy Familes-TIP are selling tickets to the Macy's Shop for a Cause Event to be held at Macy's on Saturaday October 16th. Purchase this $5.00 ticket entitles the holder to special discounts including 25% off a single fashion item, 20% off all sale & Clearance items and more. The holder is also given a chance to win a $500 gift card. The best part is, the program keeps 100% of the ticket sales which will be used to support the Healthy Families-TIP Program.
